Information Security Research and Education in University of Turku

Information security research and education in University of Turku is organized by a consortium of scientists from the Department of Mathematics, the Department of Information Technology and the Information Systems Science Institute. The inter-disciplinary information security research in the consortium is based on its strongest competences: cryptography and data security, networked systems security and business continuity management. The consortium has since 2008 received part of its funding from the Technology Industries in Finland Centennial Foundation, and the consortium has been identified as one of only four research areas in a strong development stage in the 2010-2012 strategy of the University of Turku. The consortium offers education curriculums targeting Master's degrees in each of the competence areas listed above.

The next application round to our Master's programs is December 2012 - January 2013.
